As Chief of Police of Babbitt, Minnesota, and an EMT and firefighter as well, Chad Loewen has saved lives. In his dual role as Chief and head of drug education for the department, he says he now saves lives through the Foundation for a Drug-Free World’s Truth About Drugs program. The following is an excerpt from a letter he wrote to the Foundation.

Californians for Drug-Free Youth [CADFY] and the Foundation for a Drug-Free World commemorated the 25th anniversary of Red Ribbon Week on Wednesday, October 26, with an awards ceremony in Hollywood.

On the eve of All Souls Day, to forward the “Say No to Drugs, Say Yes to Life” movement and save lives, the Foundation for a Drug-Free World distributed The Truth About Drugs booklets to hundreds of residents of the town of Modica in the Sicilian province of Ragusa.

Soon after conflict between police and residents of Hangberg, Cape Town had reached its boiling point on September 21, one South African native David Undiedt—contacted the Foundation for a Drug-Free World.
